Don has been hooked on Austin all of his life, and since 1981 has been one of the area’s top-producing real estate professionals. His style of doing business reflects his attitude toward life; relaxed, but confident and in control of situations. But it is his knowledge, experience and reputation that make people seek him out, whether they are buying or selling property in Austin.
Don and his wife, Terri, have four children and six grandchildren. He enjoys boating and the outdoors. Don divides his time between family, watching another generation play baseball; and devoting his time helping others, like you, accomplish their real estate needs and goals.
His full-time real estate career began in 1981 with McLester & Grisham, Realtors, which was purchased in 1986 by Henry S. Miller Company. From 1988-1991 he marketed corporate-owned foreclosures for large national secondary investors. This experience has proven invaluable in his real estate career.
From 1991 to 1998 he was consistently a top producer with Henry S. Miller. Local corporations call on Don to market properties for them and help their transferees moving into the Austin area. In 1999 Don joined the organization of RE/MAX Heart of Texas, REALTORS, focusing in residential sales and listings. Then in 2006, to further enhance his career, Don came home to the office where he started his career and joined Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS.
The list of Don’s credits in real estate include the national designations of: CRP, Certified Relocation Professional; CRS, Certified Residential Specialist; GRI, Graduate of the Real Estate Institute; and ABR, Accredited Buyer Representative. He also holds a Texas brokers licenseHe has received numerous company awards for production, and has also been recognized as one of the “Top 50 Residential Real Estate Producers” by the Austin Business Journal. Don is ranked in the top 1% of all real estate agents nationwide.
Don’s motivation as a real estate agent is to help people, not to “sell” them. “It’s my job to find the right property for them, based on the information they give me,” he says. “My area knowledge and contacts within the community mean I can do just that.” It’s no wonder so many of his clients are hooked on him!
